Tasty toasties with spinach, tomato & Leerdammer

Serve hot as a warming, nutritious  savoury snack on a chilly day!
Top Tip: Even simpler in a toastie maker for the ideal  grilled cheese toastie

Serves 1


  • 120g baby spinach leaves
  • ½ clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • ½ vine tomato
  • 2 pieces of bread, toasted
  • Leerdammer® Original or Leerdammer Light


  1. Pre-heat oven: 180 C, 350 F, Gas Mark 4
  2. Wash the spinach and spin or pat  it dry. Chop up the clove of garlic.
  3. Heat the olive oil in the pan and briefly fry the garlic and the spinach until cooked
  4. Season with salt and pepper and drain in a sieve or colander.
  5. De-seed and dice the vine tomato.
  6. Place a slice of Leerdammer®  in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  7. Spoon the spinach and tomato mixture on top, and close the sandwich with the other piece of toast.
